Cyproheptadine: Treat Conjunctivitis, Seasonal rhinitis, Urticaria, Contact dermatitis & Hay fever

Cyproheptadine is a first-generation antihistamine. It is used in treating allergic conditions like:

  • Conjunctivitis
  • Seasonal rhinitis
  • Urticaria
  • Contact dermatitis
  • Hay fever

It helps relieve the symptoms of allergic reactions such as irritated, red, watery and itchy eyes; runny nose; sneezing and itching. It is used to relieve skin itching due to an allergic skin condition. It can treat hives including hives caused by rubbing of skin and exposure to cold temperature. It is sometimes used off-label by a physician in:

  • Treating cyclic vomiting
  • As an appetite stimulant
  • Spasticity associated with spinal cord injury
  • Prevention of migraine headache

Cyproheptadine is both a histamine and serotonin antagonist. It works by blocking the histamine that causes an allergic reaction. This medication can only treat the symptoms but it will not treat the cause of the symptoms.

Why Buy Cyproheptadine?

Cyproheptadine is approved by the U.S Food and Drug Administration in treating allergies. Like other antihistamine drugs, this medication also helps reduce the level of histamines in the body. This drug is the first clinically approved appetite stimulant and is effective in treating eating disorders. It is available as generic and brand names. The generic drug is less expensive than the brand names.
